A Requiem for Mozart
Mozart: Requiem in D Minor
ca. 60 min. - This last work in Mozart's short but incredibly prolific career,
is surrounded by mystery and legend. In July 1791, Mozart received a commission
to compose a requiem from an anonymous patron. Haunted by the mysterious appearance
of this stranger, Mozart set about composing this requiem, which the ailing
composer believed was for himself. Whether or not the anonymous commissioner,
now known to be Count Franz von Walsegg zu Stuppach, intended to pass the work
off as his own still remains a mystery. Mozart did not finish the work before
his death in December of that year. It was completed by his pupil, Syssmayr.
To this day it remains a truly moving mass for the dead, frequently performed
around the wold. This performance, conducted by the widely acclaimed Sir Colin
Davis, is given by the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. In Hi-fi

We ship via UPS and most orders are processed and leave our store the same day they are received. We also include an order form on which to place your next order if you so desire. There is absolutely no obligation to rent more videos. The shipping container is usually suitable for use to return your tapes to us. We even enclose a mailing label with our address and your return address which may be placed on the container when you return your tapes. What could be easier?
